We here at Greg D'Angelo Construction, a Premier Custom Home Builder in the Hamptons for more than 30 years, hope your 4th of July celebrations are a fun and relaxing time for you and your family. We want to help you fail-proof your outside entertaining spaces for long hours of Summer fun. Here are our top suggestions:
1. Avoid the Splintering. A weathered, splintering deck is anything but fun! Make sure you stay on top of weather sealing. Your local Hardware Store can help you pick the product that’s right for your decking. Choose outdoor furniture best suited for our hot, humid Summers. Everyone knows about Teak, but other beautiful woods available are Acacia, Black Locust and White Oak. Find out more here >>Tablelegsonline<<
2. Clear the Air. Cleaning out your outdoor fireplace of old soot and ash makes for a cleaner environment. Contact a local Fireplace and Chimney Service early in the season to make sure your outdoor fireplace or fire pit are up to snuff.
3. Now You're Cookin' with Gas. Schedule maintenance for your outdoor cooking appliances ahead of time. Nothing makes a hungry crowd turn on you faster than discovering your BBQ's gas tank is empty!
4. Summer Rental. If you are renting out your home for the Summer season, give your tenants a contact list with these local tradespeople along with a list of emergency contacts just in case. A little peace of mind goes a long way. If you are the renter, ask if the house is covered under a Builder's Warranty. You may be only have to make one call to assure all the items on your Summer checklist are taken care of.
So let's have fun, eat some Lobster Rolls, watch the Fireworks and most of all, be safe.
Enjoy your Summer!
